Lakewood Country Club Open House: Inside Our Aloha Party
What inspired this Lakewood Country Club open house?
The home itself inspired the party, from its architecture to its outdoor spaces. I wanted visitors to picture what gathering here could feel like.
At 4004 Country Club Drive, the wraparound lanai overlooks the pool and golf course. Inside, a custom chef’s kitchen connects with generous living spaces. Those features gave our aloha theme a clear connection to the property. (Property listing)
An open house gives buyers time to explore a home without rushing. For this event, I also wanted room for conversation, laughter, and shared experiences. My goal was to make the visit memorable while keeping the home central.
What happened when guests arrived at the aloha party?
The Kona Shave Ice Truck welcomed guests with free, authentic Hawaiian shave ice. Inside, I greeted attendees with leis and hugs.
If you watch the recap video, you’ll see one of those greetings as we enter. That welcome set the tone for the rest of the visit. At the raffle table, guests could enter for a $100 Vino e Cucina gift certificate. It’s my favorite neighborhood restaurant, just a few blocks from this listing.
Including a local favorite helped introduce guests to another part of life here. I wanted the welcome to feel personal, just like the Country Club feels to me.
How did food and hula bring the open house to life?
Noelle’s food and the hula activities gave guests ways to enjoy the home together. The party moved from the kitchen toward the outdoor gathering spaces at 4004.
My business partner, Noelle, prepared the Hawaiian-inspired spread, and she’s very good at it. She brought care and creativity to the food and its presentation.
Our hula dancer then shared a beautiful performance, adding another highlight to the evening. Next came hula lessons, and guests had fun trying the moves together. There was plenty of laughter as people joined in and learned something new. These moments showed the home in use, with people sharing food, conversation, and outdoor space.
What makes 4004 Country Club Drive a distinctive home?
This turnkey home combines Polynesian-inspired design with space for indoor and outdoor living. It offers four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms, and 4,199 square feet. (Property listing)
The kitchen, private pool, and wraparound lanai give buyers several spaces to explore. The pool includes a Baja shelf, and the property has golf-course views. (Property listing)
During a private visit, I’d encourage you to picture your own daily routine here. Where would you drink coffee, gather for dinner, or settle in after work? The party highlighted entertaining, but quieter moments matter when you’re choosing a home, too. Think about how each space would serve you throughout an ordinary week.
Why does living in the Country Club shape my marketing?
I’ve lived in Lakewood Country Club Estates for nearly 50 years. That personal history shapes how I introduce buyers to the neighborhood.
I was born and raised in Lakewood and left for college and law school. Still, the Country Club has always been home, and that connection matters to my work. I can share what I’ve experienced here, alongside the property details buyers need.
For this event, that meant including a favorite restaurant and welcoming people into my neighborhood. Buyers exploring Country Club homes deserve both practical information and a sense of place. I want them to feel comfortable asking about everyday life, beyond what’s in the listing.
What can Lakewood and Long Beach sellers learn from this event?
Start with what makes your home special, then build the marketing around those strengths. At 4004, the design and gathering spaces gave us a natural starting point.
For another property, I’d begin with different questions about its layout, setting, and likely buyers. A useful marketing plan should explain why particular features matter to someone considering a move. Photos, video, preparation, pricing, and in-person visits should support that same story.
I wouldn’t promise that a party alone will sell a house or raise its price. I’d look at buyer feedback, follow-up questions, and requests for another visit to assess interest. That’s how I’d keep creative ideas connected to the seller’s actual goal: finding a buyer.
